imagine that there is this brand new gadget or machine that no one in the world has seen befor. who is the person that can tell you about this gadget? the creator or inventor of that gadget right?
like wise who beter to tell us (human beings) about how we were created and how our bodies work? the creator right?
and indeed he does this.
the first verses of the quran that were revealed were:
ٱقۡرَأۡ بِٱسۡمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ
Recite in the name of your lord!
خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَـٰنَ مِنۡ عَلَقٍ
the lord that created mankind from 'Alaq'.
but what is Alaq?
in the Arabic Language, there are three different meanings for the word Alaq.
the first is a clot of blood
the second is a leach (those small slug like insects that suck your blood)
and the third is to hang onto something ie a magnet on a refrigerator door is Alaq. it is hanging on to the door.
now if you ask any doctor in the field of child development, and ask them:
"in the early stage of embrio development, is it a clot of blood in the shape of a leach that is hanging on to the side?" and that doctor will tell you "that is exactly what it is like".
so God told us this over 1400 years ago.
